How and why did you enter the real estate/project management industry?
As a very young boy I started out making temporary forts out of cardboard boxes, then played around construction sites, and built tree houses, bridges and two workshops. I then worked my way through college designing and building custom homes in PA.

What would be your ideal job in another life?
After sailing around the world, I would voyage into space.

Who would play you in a movie about your life?
Tough choice between Kevin Spacey and James Spader.

What is your favorite vacation spot?
So far it has been watching the hot lava flow into the ocean on the Big Island of Hawaii. I was mesmerized by the creation of land right before my eyes.

What are your hobbies?
Learning to sail on and exploring the Chesapeake Bay.

Married 20+ years to Erin and have two amazing daughters, Ashley and Kaitlyn.

What are your job responsibilities?
Senior Project Manager of base building and tenant improvements. Multi-National-Portfolio oversight for site selection, pre development due-diligence, design and construction management.

What has been your most memorable project?
My first Project Management assignment – The Parkway Center, Breckenridge Colorado – an 86,000 SF retail center with a 40,000 SF anchor tenant City Market. The project entailed 2 years of construction with the first year completing, 40 acre site development with street infrastructure; sewer, water, electric, telephone and bridges over the Blue River. The second year and with a 7 month duration to complete and open the City Market prior to the Ski season opening November 1st.

How and why did you enter the real estate/project management industry?
I enjoy seeing a project from conception through deposition/sale. It gives me a sense of accomplishment to build an aesthetically pleasing architectural enhancement through buildings to improve existing or new landscape.

What would be your ideal job in another life?
Bass fisherman and hunter!

Where did you grow up?
On a farm in a small rural community of 10,000, everyone knew each other and we all played sports and took part in our community through events.

What has been your most memorable project?
At Real Projectives, one of the apartment buildings. A client purchased a not-quite-completed apartment building that needed interior and exterior completion.  In addition, the client wanted to have residents immediately occupy the building during punch list completion, and also wanted to do various interior and exterior upgrades.  Many parties were involved and coordination was challenging.

What are your job responsibilities?
Managing projects. Teaching and mentoring our junior staff members in areas that I have expertise. Networking and finding new consulting work and clients. Sourcing real estate investment deals and implementing the determined development plans.

What was your most memorable project?
The 21 story, $400M Mary Catherine Bunting Center at Mercy Hospital. It was an amazing collaboration with the Owner, the Contractor and the Designer (me) to tackle an immense urban redevelopment project that transformed a portion of downtown Baltimore.

How and why did you enter the real estate/project management industry?
Real Estate development was something that always drew my attention and when I had the opportunity to pursue a degree in that field, I took it. That degree opened up my world, where I was fortunate enough to be hired to develop affordable housing. Affordable housing gave me the development experience I craved and needed, but also opened up my eyes to an entire new world of public purpose investment which shapes my development goals to this day.

Where did you grow up?
Suffern, New York, just west of New York City.

Where do you currently live?
Riverside Community in Baltimore, the greatest city in America.

What is your favorite music group?
I am an avid Phish fan, and it goes beyond music, but also community. There are so many layers of enjoyment that come with Phish that it’s hard to describe. The discussions, debates, statistics, memories of different shows and friends you meet. Phish fans are some of the most thoughtful and cerebral people I have ever met.

What is your favorite vacation spot?
Anywhere there is snow, a mountain and a ski lift.

What pets do you have?
Our family adopted a pit/pointer mix from our local shelter. She is the best behaved, sweetest, most loving creature in the world.

I was born in Germany and lived there for 7 years. Then I moved to Miami, Florida and grew up by the sunny beaches.

Emma Watson, because when I was younger people always used to say I looked like Hermione from Harry Potter.

What pets do you have?
I currently have a lovely betta fish named Bubbles. I’ve trained him to jump out of the water, so he is likely part-dolphin. I also have a sweet baby bearded dragon named Spyro.

What are your hobbies?
I was in an a cappella group in college, so I love singing. I also enjoy photography and traveling the world.
